With over 35 years of public accounting experience, John, in the capacity of Chairman of the Firm’s Audit Department, oversees, reviews, and performs quality control of engagements for a variety of international labor organizations and employee benefit plans, as well as trade and membership organizations, charitable foundations, and for-profit corporations. This broad expertise combined with his meticulous and exacting nature make John especially well-suited for specialized projects in areas such as forensic auditing. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and also serves as a member of the Bond Beebe Executive Management Committee.
Professional Experience
John joined the firm in 1978 and has extensive experience conducting forensic audits of a variety of entities in many different industries. As a member of Bond Beebe’s Executive Committee, John is actively involved with overseeing the Firm’s management and internal operations.
In addition to his client responsibilities, John has taught accounting at George Washington University and the George Meany Center for Labor Studies in connection with the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist series, a ten-part program that was developed at the Wharton School.

Since joining Bond Beebe in 2001, Linh has performed audits and forensic investigation engagements for large not-for-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and membership organizations. Linh routinely assists clients with a wide variety of fraud projects and has particular experience in analyzing employee travel expense reports and company credit card transactions to uncover fraudulent activities. Her projects have included reviews of internal controls, forensic investigations and analysis, operation audits, claims audits, simulated claims projects, OPM audits, and claims-related training projects. Additionally, Linh is the Firm’s health and welfare claims specialist and has extensive experience performing audits and devising internal controls for health and welfare entities.

Jennifer has been a member of the Firm since 2008 and is actively involved in the Firm’s Forensic Accounting Practice. She has managed audits for a variety of entities, including labor organizations and their related entities, not-for-profits, and middle-market manufacturers. Previously, she served as a financial and treasury analyst for a global software company. Dedicated and focused, Jennifer is often pulled in to brainstorm creative solutions and is frequently called-upon to guide younger associates.

A diversified professional, Mr. Helfand works on engagements for a wide variety of the Firm’s clients, including small businesses, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans. His broad background includes finance and tax accounting, as well as computer programming and information technology, allowing him to approach engagements with an innovative, technologically-focused perspective. He is an EnCase® Certified Computer Forensics Examiner, and is able to acquire and analyze data from a variety of digital devices.
